My Letter
My name is Adrian.
I am a mom of four kids.
I’m a writer too.
I’m a daughter.
I was a sister though am never quite sure if I still am.
I’m a wife though not a very traditional one.
We suit each other though.
All of us went to church tonight, our parcel of six and my parents.
Amos was good until he finished all his candy canes.
Thank goodness for the nursery.
There is something about lighting candles on Christmas Eve.
The offering tonight was to build a wheelchair access for a child member of the church.
The irony was not lost on me.
Russell asked his grandfather for a dollar and instead, he gave him $20.
Russell stood to put it in the offering plate, my child who holds money quite close.
The irony was not lost on me.
Tears of thankfulness.
Good night.
Love, Adrian
