Dear Dawn,

Thank you for reaching out and answering my questions regarding BCBS. I appreciate your candor and that being said, I am willing to serve on the BCBS Member Advisory Board. I would like to help especially since your stated goal is to make things better for patients and families.

I feel like I spend countless hours justifying needed medical services for my son and it is frustrating. I think the process could be better and implemented so that we make sure unnecessary interventions are avoided, but also consider the families who sit on the other end of the phone or anxiously check the mailbox. The families with little boys who can’t say da-da but are denied speech devices deserve the very best too.

If BCBS truly cares about those families, then I am willing to join the Member Services Board.
