Today is Christmas.

I didn’t know that meant new toys.

I’ve never opened a present before.

Today I did almost all by myself.

It was a barn.

I got cars and trains.

Trains are my most favorite thing.

I’m three now.

I wonder what I’ll like next year.

My mom wonders too.

She keeps kissing my head and remembers that two Christmas Eve’s ago, I learned to crawl.

That memory makes her smile a real smile.

I like Christmas.
